CNN iReport: Social Marketing at Blog World

Adam Carolla: Hey CNN, I’m Adam Carolla I’m in Las Vegas and I am at the Blog World Convention - yeah.  My thump imprint yeah, can you see it? Yeah, look at me – that’s my name.  And I’m um here pushing - well actually I don’t have a blog.  I confused myself for a second.  I got a podcast.  It’s like a blog where you talk.  You know what I mean – not all that boring words, reading, yuck when is that going out of style?  Yeah.

Chris Brogan: Hi, I’m Chris Brogan, from ChrisBrogan.com.  What I like about Blog World is you get a great opportunity to meet up with people that you know from the web a lot you don’t necessarily get to see face to face all the time so there is an opportunity to do new business  but also the opportunity to  meet old friends again.

Jay Berkowitz: Hi, I’m Jay Berkowitz author of The Ten Golden Rules of Online Marketing Workbook.  Here at Blog World.  And one of the cool things about blogs is you can have a website that you can put up in about 15 minutes and it’s a fully functional  website that you can update yourself.   So we are all learning how to blog and get famous on blogs.

Angie Swartz: Hey, it’s Angie Swartz from Square Martini Media and I’m so excited to talk to you about Blog World Expo today.  There have been so many people on the radio today.  We’ve been talking about all the great sessions.    And I went to sessions on affiliate marketing today and making money with your blog.  And been talking about how many terrific topstar bloggers that are teaching lessons to the people that are attending this year.   And how blogging is definitely not dead.  And blogging is intermersing with traditional media and really bringing messages just like citizen journalism out to the public.  So if you are ever interested in learning about what you can do as a blogger or how social media can improve your business.  Think about coming to Blog World Expo next year because there is so much to learn at every session.  I can’t even choose which one to go to because I want to go to five at a time.  I keep looking at the program and I want to go sit in all of them at the same time.  So I’m sitting there on Twitter, reading what’s going on in four other rooms at the same time – so excited about what I can learn.  So social media can help every client that’s out there with their business especially in this economy turning it around today.

Chad Vader: Hi, I’m Matt Sloan, I’m Aaron Yonda with Blame Society Productions – we are the creators of Chad Vader.  We are here at Blog World and it’s really exciting.  We love Blog World we have been having a really great time here and we’ve learned a lot.

Bret Hedican: Hi, I’m Bret Hedican and I’m an ex-NHL player.  I played hockey in the NHL for 17 seasons; I just retired.  Why am I here at Blog World? Really to get a grasp on what this blogging and what the social media is all about.  It is growing; it is expanding.  I think with athletes it is really intriguing because there’s a fine line between giving the fan too much as far as what’s going on within the organization and within your team aspect.  And giving them just enough to keep them interested in what you are doing.  So I’m trying to walk that fine line of learning what’s the best way for some of these athletes to do those sorts of things.
