CEO Jay Berkowitz features the company’s website marketing podcast and discusses the company’s internet marketing strategies based on the Ten Golden Rules of Internet Marketing.
Our CEO, Jay Berkowitz was recently profiled by Technology Editor Al Gibes, in Nevada’s largest newspaper. Below is an excerpt from the article, you may click here http://www.lvrj.com/business/12352821.html to read the entire text.
The first rule, set by Jay Berkowitz, CEO of Ten Golden Rules, a Florida online marketing company (www.tengoldenrules.com), sets the tone for the rest of the list of internet marketing strategies -- "There are no rules." In other words, take this with a grain of salt and know that nothing is set in stone. "The rule of the Internet is testing. Forget any preconceived notions. No matter how good a marketer you are, a lot of times the consumer will prove you wrong," Berkowitz said. "Four or five years ago there was no book. No rules on Internet marketing," Berkowitz penned the 10 rules in 2003, which later started the Florida online marketing company. The biggest change since then is the importance of search engines.
Berkowitz believes the next hot internet marketing strategies include trends such as podcasting, the growth of the mobile industry and the growth of social media. "When you discover a podcast that is relevant or entertaining it creates an explosion of learning," he said. "When I'm commuting I no longer listen to sports radio. I now listen to the internet marketing podcast of Danny Sullivan, a leader in my industry.
The Business Journal ran an article about website marketing podcasts and they also interviewed Mr. Berkowitz:
Podcasts deliver content to subscribers in a medium more amenable to people's active lifestyles and personal habits, said Jay Berkowitz, a Boca Raton, Florida -based online Internet marketing expert who launched the TenGoldenRules.com website marketing podcast earlier this year. Admittedly an "audio learner," traditional e-zines or online newsletters consume too much desk time, he said. Berkowitz downloads others' podcasts, whether on business or website marketing.”
