Do you love biking, dancing, football, or fashion? What’s your passion? You might not have realized this yet, but it’s perfectly possible to turn your hobby into a full time business. It’s easier that ever with today’s vast set of online resources. Here are a few ways that can get you started:
- Set up a blog that focuses on your interest. You can do this in 15 minutes on WordPress, and the platform is so simple to use that anyone can create a beautiful website quickly. Make sure that your blog is hosted on your own domain (for example, fashiontoast.com). This can be done directly through WordPress or through a hosting service.
- Run ads on your blog. Once you have a little bit of a following, and 10-20 posts under your belt, it’s time to monetize by running ads on your blog. The process is simple with Google Adsense.
- Create a Facebook Fan Page, YouTube Channel, & other social media profiles. Don’t forget to create the social media profiles that will really make your blog shine. Creating profiles is a great way for people to find you on the web, and can provide a lot of support to your online blog. Other platforms you might want to think about including in your social media strategy are Twitter, Vine, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, and MySpace. It’s best to grab your name of choice on every social media channel you can before someone else takes it.
