LinkedIn Reaches Milestone: 100 Million Members

Yesterday, LinkedIn reported they have officially reached 100 million members worldwide. In celebration, LinkedIn posted 100 member stories explaining their individual experiences with the platform.

LinkedIn is currently used in over 200 countries and territories around the world. Interestingly, it is experiencing its fastest growth internationally with 56% of their users being outside of the United States. Dominating the social business sector, LinkedIn now reports professionals are joining the site at faster than one member per second. Not bad for a social media site catering towards the niche of business professionals!

When using LinkedIn, be sure to establish your presence within the platform and amongst your peers. You can do so by participating in LinkedIn Answers, updating your status often, and if appropriate, linking your LinkedIn and Twitter accounts to provide further updates on your LinkedIn profile.
