More Changes to Adsense Network

A couple days ago Blogoscoped reported that there were changes being made with Google Adsense ads over the next several days. Previously, the entire ad (including whitespace around the ad) was clickable. With the change being made only the title and the display url are clickable. This will obviously limit the amount of revenue that Google generates (but probably only minimally considering last quarter Google did over 4 billion in revenue), but more importantly this should potentially limit the revenue generated by publishers who have adsense ads on their site, as it should severely cut down on invalid click. Google hopes this, and the changes it made last week to placement targeting should make it more profitable for advertisers to run on the adsense network.
