Ten Golden Rule’s Commitment to Giving Back

Every year, we sponsor a charity, pro bono, as part of our commitment to the community and giving back. We help them with everything from their websites and social media to promotions and PR work. For 2018, we are open to new charity applications for consideration. To learn more about what we do and have done, here are examples of the notable charities we’ve worked with in the last 14 years.
 
FAMILY PROMISE
Family Promise is the nations largest charity assisting homeless families. Their passion for ensuring that no child is left homeless has made a difference for many families around the country. We are proud to have supported Family Promise with their digital marketing, we created landing pages and managed a Google Grants Pay Per Click program and we put tracking and Google Analytics programs in place
 
TOYS FOR TOTS
Every year, there are children who spend Christmas morning without any presents to open. To help prevent this, Toys for Tots has been working to buy gifts for underprivileged children since 1947. The successful program is run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve and has chapters throughout the country. Here in South Florida, the West Palm Beach Chapter serves children in Title 1 or Title 2 schools who receive free or reduced lunch, as well as children not yet in school. At TGR, we worked with Toys for Tots to create a press release and help with internet work.
 
SALVATION ARMY
The Salvation Army works year round, but their presence is felt greatly during the holidays. People can donate money to local chapters or to the main organization on their website, or donate goods and clothing at Salvation Army Family Stores or through their free pickup services. All money raised goes towards every human need, such as hunger, poverty and domestic abuse. We helped the Salvation Army by working to drive donations, creating a detailed press release and helping with their website.
 
EAT BETTER LIVE BETTER
Eat Better Live Better (EBLB) is an organization who works to prevent, reduce, and reverse childhood obesity by providing families with healthy foods and nutrition plans. After dealing with her own struggle with obesity, the founder, Debra Tendrich, decided to make a change. Seeing how her healthy lifestyle affected not just her, but her daughter, too, Debra decided to start EBLB. She creates a 90-day program for families, providing them with a registered dietician and giving them meal plans, a health risk assessment, fitness classes and a weekly phone call to keep them going. Eat Better Live Better was TGR’s 2017 charity client, and in the past year, we have helped them with promotions, website setup, social media and worked to promote their annual 5k event and other events throughout the year.
 
 
HOOVES & PAWS ANIMAL RESCUE
At Ten Golden Rules, we are big animal lovers (we even have an office dog named Parker who helps out with all this charity work!), so it was only fitting to take on an animal rescue as a charity client. Hooves & Paws is a nonprofit rescue organization that takes in abused and homeless animals. They rehabilitate them and once healthy, make them available for adoption. The best part about Hooves & Paws is they not only provide a wonderful facility for the animals, but ensure a lifelong stay for any animals who don’t get adopted. With the help of volunteers and donations from the local community, they’ve been successful in saving the lives of all animals from dogs to horses and other farm animals.
