The Top Legal Conferences On My Calendar
With dozens and dozens of National Legal Business and Marketing conferences, it can be hard to sort out which ones are truly worth your time! In filling out my calendar, I look for conferences with a mix of great content and interesting attendees for the best networking.
I prioritize the events that I am speaking at (these have to be on my calendar), and I also look at which ones are more convenient for travel. I am based in South Florida, so a short drive to Orlando or a quick flight to Atlanta is more attractive than a long trip to Portland or Seattle.
Of the conferences I’ve been invited to over the next 12 months, here is my short list:

Great Legal Marketing Summit – Oct. 12, 2023 in Orlando
Attorney Ben Glass and his team have a tremendous community based event with awesome content. Our Founder/CEO Jay Berkowitz will be presenting the first ever GLaM! Awards for the Top attorney digital marketing law firms among the Great Legal Marketing community.
National Trial Lawyers Summit – Jan. 18-21, 2024 in Miami
Ten Golden Rules is the presenting sponsor for the 2024 Golden Gavel Awards. This is a well-attended, high quality event with great content and lots of sizzle, including past speakers Mike Tyson and John McEnroe. Get in touch if you are going to Miami, Jay Berkowitz will be a featured presenter and we will have a booth at the trade show.
PILMMA Super Summit – May 14-17, 2024 in New Orleans
Ken Hardison and his team put on a great event every year in New Orleans. This is the annual centerpiece for the PILMMA masterminds featuring great business and marketing speakers and content.

The Business of Law – Nov. 9-11, 2023 in Arizona
This conference offers attorneys a unique learning opportunity from the industry’s top experts on building a thriving law firm, with engaging lectures, networking sessions, and activities, including a golf tournament to kick off the weekend.
Lanier Trial Academy – June 17-20, 2024 in Houston
This is generally regarded as the best event for legal content & trial training, with a popular golf tournament.
Mass Torts Made Perfect – Oct. 10-12, 2023 in Las Vegas
The Mass Tort community comes together twice a year to share the latest strategies, and the latest cocktails, in Las Vegas! This is a large, well-attended event with great content, a large trade show and fantastic entertainment, Sebastian Maniscalco, Jim Gaffigan, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Peyton Manning, Elie Wiesel are past big names and Paris Hilton and Sting are on the Fall agenda.I try to attend one “MTMP” each year.

AAJ (American Association for Justice) Winter Convention – Feb. 10-13, 2024 in Austin
Focus: Advocacy, litigation tips, and marketing strategies for trial lawyers
The organization welcomes litigators to come and connect with jurors, sharpen their examination techniques, and learn some of the latest industry practices. Don’t miss out on a venue packed to the brim with lectures and demonstrations from legal experts from across the board.
Legalweek (formerly Legaltech) Jan. 29 – Feb. 1, 2024 in New York
Focus: Legal technology, including marketing technology
Legalweek is an ideal conference for large firms. It has content targeted to a wide range of roles—including law firm CEOs and partners, legal technology leaders, legal operations professionals, in-house counsel, marketing professionals, and knowledge management leaders.
LMA Annual Conference (Legal Marketing Association) – April 3-5, 2024 in Las Vegas

Clio Cloud Conference October 9-10, 2023, Nashville, TN
Focus: Clio a leading practice management software includes legal business and marketing topics.
The Summit – Nov. 2-3, 2023 in Orlando
The Summit is a business-focused conference aimed towards helping law firms step up their marketing strategies. This event is hands-on with workshops and strategic outlines to aim firms towards success.
Maximum Lawyer Conference – Oct. 19-20, 2023 in Miami
Looking to make connections? This event is aimed at owners of law firms looking to network with industry leaders and other owners in the field.
ABA Spring Conference – April 10-13, 2024 in San Diego
The ABA Spring Conference is returning to an in-person conference this year after several years of virtual events. The theme of this year’s Spring Conference is “Mastering the Future.”
